Trilingual Course – Let´s talk über l´espace

This trilingual online course aims to optimise communication skills and increase confidence to read, discuss and present in English and French.

In keeping with the spirit of the UNIVERSEH alliance, each session of this trilingual course, co-taught by two native teachers, looks at the extent to which the space industry reflects humanity’s needs and goals in respect to environmental and social sustainability, as well as innovation and entrepreneurism. Participants will thus familiarise themselves with a transdisciplinary approach by dealing with themes that hardly ever appear within their respective curricula. Unlike a traditional language course, this course does not focus on the systematic acquisition of grammar but aims to highlight the parallels that can exist between different languages in order to improve the participants' language learning strategies and foster the emergence of a translanguaging awareness.

The Trilingual Course runs throughout the regular semester at the HHU (from October to February, or from April to July).

Winter Semester 23/24 Course Offering:

every Thursday, 8:30 to 10:00

HHU Students* can earn 3 ECTS points for participating in the course.

*Students who are enrolled at partner universities cannot be guaranteed that they will earn ECTS points that will be recognized by their home university, as grant agreements between our institutions are still pending.

The aim of these three interactive training sessions is to raise student´s awareness about the challenges of interculturality. UNIVERSEH students will benefit from the expertise of professional intercultural trainers who will provide a comprehensive intercultural competence training and share their experience about the business rules or communication patterns of the UNIVERSEH partner countries. Every workshop can be attended separately and will be delivered as virtual training session.
